We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in manual testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and a passion for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality standards of our software applications.

• Test Case Design and Execution: Proficient in designing test cases and test scripts to cover various scenarios. Thorough execution of test cases to identify defects and ensure software functionality.
• Defect Identification and Management: Skilled in identifying, documenting, and prioritizing defects using bug tracking tools. Collaborative problem-solving with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Testing Types: Experience in different testing types, including functional, regression, integration, user acceptance, and smoke testing. Knowledge of exploratory testing techniques to uncover hidden issues.
• Test Planning and Strategy: Ability to create comprehensive test plans that outline testing objectives, scope, and strategies. Adherence to test schedules and deadlines.
• Test Documentation: Proficient in maintaining detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test reports. Organization of test artifacts for traceability and future reference.
• Test Data Management: Knowledge of test data setup and management to ensure valid and repeatable test scenarios. Safeguarding sensitive or confidential data during testing.
• Test Environment Setup: Setting up and configuring test environments to mimic the production environment accurately. Troubleshooting environmental issues when necessary.
• Quality Assurance Methodologies: Understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and various quality assurance methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Test Tools and Technologies: Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and bug tracking systems. Familiar in using testing frameworks and test automation tools.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
• Test Reporting: Prepare and present test reports to communicate test progress and results to the team.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manual software testing.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git for managing test assets.
• Possessing banking domain-specific knowledge can be advantageous.
• Effective time management skills to meet testing deadlines and handle multiple projects concurrently.
• Leadership skills to guide junior testers and contribute to process improvement.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and tools.
• Proficiency in test case design, test execution, and defect management.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.
